My Even AWESOMER Detox Experience

Last year I blogged about my AWESOME 8 Day Master Cleanse experience, mainly giving the steps to the process and what each ingredient does. Well, I detoxed AGAIN for 10 days! (WHOOOT!!!) This blog post I wanted to share my own personal reasons I find beneficial for doing the Master Cleanse (MC). Here’s 10:

1) Eliminate wastes/toxins from the body – This is 95% of the reason I do the cleanse. TMI but your body is eliminating solids, acids and mucus EVERY DAY during the process! If that doesn’t motivate you to detox your body I don’t know what will!

2) Lose weight – Average weight loss for men is 2 pounds a day, women average 1 to 1 ½ pounds a day. I loss a total of 11 pounds by the end of the 10 days.

3) Clearer skin- With the large quantity of water you are drinking and number of toxins flushing out your body, you not only hydrating your skin but purifying it.

4) Abundance of energy– Day 1-3 may be the toughest to overcome, but after that hurdle I am literally WIRED! I even did workouts & outdoor jogs 8 out of the 10 days while on MC. I simply suggest if you do decide to workout, listen to your body and not overexert yourself.

5) Restful and deeper sleep – I’m telling you…it is pure bliss! Normally I tend to wake up 2 to 3 times throughout the night, but while on the MC I sleep like a baby. Ahhhhhh…

6) Clarity of mind/ overall sense of well being- Maybe it’s the restful sleep…or maybe it’s the eliminations of toxins. I happen to think not only am I eliminating wastes/toxins in the process, but I’m also removing negative thoughts, confusions and stress. I feng shui my mind body and soul.

7) Boost your confidence- With your weight loss, brighter/fresher skin and clearer mind, you can’t help but feel good!

8) Appreciation for the simple things- Listen, you are on strictly lemonade for 10 days! After reintroducing your palate again to small pleasures like orange juice or a bowl of soup, it will taste like a steak and lobster tail!

9) Practice discipline and self/control- I gave up food, liquor and social outings during the cleanse and I LOVE my wine. I realize that some of my habits are “addictive” actions, and I use the cleanse as an awesome opportunity to break my patterns.

10) Set a challenging goal and make it through to the finish line– Not everybody can make it to the finish line. PERIOD. I know MANY people who start the Master Cleanse but don’t make it past day one. There are some who doom themselves by saying they wouldn’t last on the MC or give a bunch of excuses without even attempting to try! I am one who likes to step up to the plate. I like to challenge myself, push myself and see if I can overcome…and I did. #WINNING

Cheers til the next cleanse!
